The Bismuth side is a tormented crawl through a flat, nihilistic guitar sprawl; by contrast the Undersmile side is much more subtle, an eerie, creeping fog that ensnares the senses, lulls the listener before the floor drops out and a chasm of sound engulfs them. The midway turn introduces an unexpected resolutory warmth, then returns to the dense miasma of unease.

Samples of Alan Watts (among other creepers), 20 minutes of repetitive riffs as tall as the trees on the cover and the gulling sound of the sirens' wails, down-tuned to the same levels of the guitars. Follow the little lights, they shine so dimly in the night.
